Galina's Story

My name is Galina, and this is my husband Gennadi. We are the parents in one of the houses at Vatra Village, and this is a blessing for us. I never thought I would become a parent in one of these houses. Now I have the opportunity to help other girls that used to be like me.

I come from a very poor family. My mom used to live with different men, and she didn't care about us. We are five children in our family, and because we were living very badly, the government took us to the orphanage. I lived there for nine years, and those weren't the best years that I lived. But through all of this, God had a plan.

After I finished the orphanage, I didn't know what to do. I didn't have money. I didn't have the courage to go to study. As the teachers used to tell me that I'm nobody, it was hard for me to take a step. That was the time when I met the Cameron family, and they helped me to continue my studies. After I finished my studies, I met Gennadi. Now I have someone with whom I can serve the Lord in this ministry.
